In the Magistrates' Court, 672 charges of drunk and disorderly in a public place were sentenced in the three years to 30 June 2023. The most common sentence for a charge of this offence was discharge/dismissal (39.1% or 263 charges).

Case data

In 639 cases sentenced in the Magistrates' Court in the three years to 30 June 2023, each case included at least one charge of drunk and disorderly in a public place. Among the 639 cases, 537 people were male and 102 people were female. The most common outcome for cases was a fine (31.1% or 199 cases).
