Charge data

In the Magistrates' Court, 57 charges of fail to immediately surrender a driver licence or learner permit when personally served with a suspension or cancellation notice were sentenced in the three years to 30 June 2023. The most common sentence for a charge of this offence was a fine (77.2% or 44 charges).

Case data

In 57 cases sentenced in the Magistrates' Court in the three years to 30 June 2023, each case included at least one charge of fail to immediately surrender a driver licence or learner permit when personally served with a suspension or cancellation notice. Among the 57 cases, 44 people were male and 13 people were female. The most common outcome for cases was a fine (77.2% or 44 cases).
