In the Magistrates' Court, 1,050 charges of stop in an area to which a no stopping sign applies were sentenced in the three years to 30 June 2023. The most common sentence for a charge of this offence was a fine (86.3% or 906 charges).

Case data

In 642 cases sentenced in the Magistrates' Court in the three years to 30 June 2023, each case included at least one charge of stop in an area to which a no stopping sign applies. Among the 642 cases, 454 people were male and 153 people were female. The most common outcome for cases was a fine (79.9% or 513 cases).
