In the Magistrates' Court, 7,043 charges of stop on a length of road to which a no stopping sign applies were sentenced in the three years to 30 June 2023. The most common sentence for a charge of this offence was a fine (92.1% or 6484 charges).

Case data

In 3,116 cases sentenced in the Magistrates' Court in the three years to 30 June 2023, each case included at least one charge of stop on a length of road to which a no stopping sign applies. Among the 3,116 cases, 2,208 people were male and 701 people were female. The most common outcome for cases was a fine (84.7% or 2639 cases).
