In the Magistrates' Court, 1,715 charges of use a mobile phone while driving a moving motor vehicle (licensed driver) were sentenced in the three years to 30 June 2023. The most common sentence for a charge of this offence was a fine (77.3% or 1326 charges).

In 1,698 cases sentenced in the Magistrates' Court in the three years to 30 June 2023, each case included at least one charge of use a mobile phone while driving a moving motor vehicle (licensed driver). Among the 1,698 cases, 1,343 people were male and 355 people were female. The most common outcome for cases was a fine (73.4% or 1247 cases).
